PMP: common questions
Do I need the job title of project manager for the PMP to be worth it?
No. PMI counts the projects you led, not your title. A site engineer who coordinated three building projects over four years can qualify. What matters is that you can describe each project and a supervisor can confirm your role.
From Is PMP Worth It? Salary, Roles and a Four-Question Fit Test
Does my job title have to be project manager?
No. PMI counts the work you led, not your title. A site engineer who coordinated three building projects over four years can qualify, provided each project is described clearly and a supervisor can confirm the role.
From PMP Eligibility: Experience Rule, 35 Hours and the Audit
Where do I find the new PMP content outline?
Download the PMP Examination Content Outline from the PMP page on pmi.org. The current version is the July 2026 update, revised on 11 August 2026. Check the revision date, the domain weights, the 26 tasks and the question formats before you buy any study material.
From PMP Exam Changes 2026: What the July Update Means for You
Can I take the PMP exam in a language other than English?
Yes. PMI offers the exam in 15 languages, including Arabic. Check the language options for your appointment when you schedule, and study with material in the language you will sit the exam in, so the terms you meet on the day are familiar.
Do the 35 training hours count towards my study hours?
No. The 35 hours of project management education are an entry requirement for the application. The 80 to 120 study hours used in this plan come on top of them. An active CAPM can replace the 35 hours, but it does not shorten the study itself.
From PMP Study Hours: How Many You Need and How to Plan Them
Is PMI membership worth it just for the exam discount?
Compare the two numbers on pmi.org on the same day. Member rates apply only if you joined before paying the exam fee, so decide before you reach the payment page. If the discount is larger than the membership price, joining first pays for itself.
Are these real PMP exam questions?
No. They were written for this page to show the style of the July 2026 exam, and each is mapped to a task in PMI's Examination Content Outline. PMI does not release live exam questions, so treat any site claiming to sell them with suspicion.

How much does PMP renewal cost?
This page does not print a renewal fee, because PMI sets it and it changes. PMI emails you a payment link when renewal is due, and the current amount is on pmi.org. Add it to your budget as a cost that returns every three years.

IELTS: common questions
Is IELTS General Training easier than IELTS Academic?
Not in the way most people hope. General Training Reading texts are easier, so you need more correct answers for the same band: about 35 out of 40 for band 7, against about 30 in Academic Reading. Choose the version your organisation accepts, not the one that looks easier.
From IELTS Academic or General Training? Choose the Right Version
Do I need the same band for Listening and Reading?
Not necessarily. Ask each organisation what minimum it requires for each skill, and copy every figure into your target score table separately. Your targets can then differ, because it pays to aim higher in your strongest skills to protect the overall average.
From IELTS Band Score Requirements: What Band You Really Need
Can I take IELTS for UKVI with Writing on Paper?
No. IELTS states that IELTS for UKVI is available only in the fully digital format. If your visa route needs IELTS for UKVI, prepare to type your Writing answers, and confirm the version with the visa page before you book.
From IELTS Changes 2026: Paper Testing Retired, What to Do Now
Can I make notes during the Part 2 preparation minute?
Yes. Use the minute to note four or five key words that cover each point on the task card. Do not try to write the full talk: there is no time, and reading a script makes your speech sound unnatural.
Can I prepare for IELTS in one month?
Only if your practice scores already meet your target and your hours support it. At 15 hours a week, a 60-hour plan takes about four weeks. If a skill sits half a band or more below target, expect to need considerably longer than 30 to 50 hours.
From How Long to Prepare for IELTS: Hours, Weeks and a Study Plan
Can I book IELTS without a previous qualification?
Yes. IELTS does not require a previous qualification or a minimum level of English. Anyone can book, and your band reflects your level on the day. Your test centre may set a minimum age for certain versions, so check its terms.

Are these real IELTS test questions?
No. They were written for this page to show common IELTS question types and the decisions behind them. They are not official IELTS questions, and ten items cannot produce a band. Use them to check the rules, then measure your level with a full official practice test.

Can I take a One Skill Retake after a paper-based test?
No. One Skill Retake is open only after a test taken on computer, at a centre that offers it. If your result came from a paper-based test, your routes to a different score are an Enquiry on Results or a new full test.

TOEFL iBT: common questions
Do I need an English qualification before I register for TOEFL iBT?
No. TOEFL iBT requires no previous qualification and no minimum level of English, and anyone can register through an ETS account. ETS has paused testing in some locations for regulatory reasons, so check the registration page for your country before you plan.
When will I see my TOEFL iBT scores?
ETS states that scores appear in your ETS account about three days after the test, and the exact date is shown at the end of the test. You can download a PDF of your score report 24 to 48 hours after that.
From TOEFL Score Scale 1 to 6: Overall Score and 0 to 120 Conversion
Does TOEFL have a pass mark on the new scale?
No. ETS sets no passing or failing scores on either scale. Each university, employer or authority decides the score it requires, so your target comes from the requirement pages of the institutions on your list, not from the test.
From TOEFL Changes January 2026: What Changed and What to Do
Is there a free official sample of the test?
Yes. ETS offers a free official sample test and a free eight-week TOEFL iBT Test Prep Planner. TOEFL TestReady, its preparation portal, adds practice tests, courses and guides. Try the free sample first, then decide what else you need.
From TOEFL Test Format 2026: All 12 Task Types, Section by Section
How many hours a week should I study?
As many as you can really keep up, not your best week. The light track is 3 to 6 hours a week, the standard track 7 to 12 and the intensive track 13 to 20 or more. Correct your plan after each full practice test.
From How Long to Prepare for TOEFL iBT: Hours, Weeks and a Plan
Can I change my four free score recipients?
Yes, until 10 pm, local test centre time, on the day before your test. After that, each additional report is charged and cannot be refunded or redirected, so choose all four from your list of institutions before test day.
From TOEFL iBT Registration, Cost and Home Edition: Rules to Check
Are these real TOEFL iBT questions?
No. They were written for this page to show the 2026 task types and the decisions behind them. They are not ETS questions, and ten items cannot produce a score on the 1 to 6 scale. Measure your level with an official ETS practice test.
From TOEFL iBT Practice Questions: 10 Original Items With Answers
Can I retake only the Writing section?
No. TOEFL iBT has no single-section retake, so a new attempt means the whole test. MyBest scores are the closest equivalent: if your institutions accept them, your best Writing score from a later test can sit beside better scores from an earlier one.
Security+: common questions
Do I need experience or another credential before I can book Security+?
No. Security+ has no required prerequisites. For V7, CompTIA recommends Network+ and about two years in a security or systems administrator role. For V8, it recommends two years of hands-on experience as a security administrator.
From Is Security+ Worth It? Roles, Salary Data and a Fit Test
Is V8 harder than V7?
No one can rate that fairly before launch, but CompTIA's recommended experience differs slightly. For V7 it suggests Network+ and about two years in a security or systems administrator role. For V8 it suggests two years of hands-on experience as a security administrator. Neither is a requirement, and anyone can book either version.
From Security+ V7 or V8? Which Version to Take in 2026 and 2027
How should I show which version I passed on my CV?
Write the exam code in brackets, as CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) or CompTIA Security+ (SY0-801), followed by the year. Before you pass, write CompTIA Security+ candidate, exam booked for the month and year of your appointment.
From Security+ SY0-801 Changes: Domains, Weights and Objectives
Does Security+ test any one vendor's products?
No. Security+ is vendor-neutral, so it is not tied to one company's tools and the knowledge travels across employers. Interviewers may still test the tools they use, so pair the credential with hands-on practice on at least one platform you are likely to meet at work.
From Security+ Exam Format and Domains: The Full SY0-801 Map
Do I need Network+ or work experience before I start counting hours?
No. Security+ has no required prerequisites. For V7, CompTIA recommends Network+ and about two years in a security or systems administrator role; for V8, two years of hands-on experience as a security administrator. Treat these as a measure of difficulty. Without them, expect your diagnostic test to place you nearer 100 hours.
From Security+ Study Hours: How Many You Need and How to Plan Them
Does a Security+ voucher expire?
Yes, vouchers carry an expiry date set out in their terms. Read the terms before you pay, and buy the voucher when your plan shows a realistic finish date, not months before. If a voucher is rejected when you book, CompTIA handles vouchers bought from its store.
From Security+ Cost, Booking and Exam Day: What to Budget and Bring

How much does Security+ renewal cost?
This page prints no figure, because CompTIA sets any renewal fees and the price of CertMaster CE, and both can change. Check CompTIA's continuing education pages and your account well before your final year, and add the cost to your budget early.

Can I wait for v2.0 material and pause my v1.1 study?
