Editorial standards

If the issuing body has not published it, we do not state it as fact

Six standards govern every title. They are the reason each book carries an edition number, a verification date and an official sources map.

01Standards

The six standards

S1

The issuing body comes first

Every changeable fact (fees, versions, weights, retake rules, ID rules) is checked against the issuing body's own pages and documents. Third-party sources are used only to fill a gap, and the book says so.

S2

Every fact is dated

Each book carries an edition number and a verification date. You always know when a fact was last true, and what to confirm before you act.

S3

The whole exam on one map

Every domain, objective or task appears in plain English, with its weight. Nothing is left out because it is dull or hard to teach.

S4

Original practice, never leaked items

Practice questions are written for the book in the style of the exam and mapped to its outline. None is copied from a live exam.

S5

Separate review before release

A separate fact check reviews each manuscript against primary sources. Findings are fixed before release, and doubtful claims are softened or removed.

S6

Independent and plain about money

No book is sponsored by a certification body. Links to Amazon on this site are paid links, and every page says so.

02Sources

Order of sources

  1. The issuing body's documents: exam outlines, objectives, handbooks, policy pages and official announcements.
  2. The test provider's rules: booking, identity, rescheduling and online testing rules.
  3. Reputable secondary sources: used only where the first two are silent, and named as secondary in the book.

Salary figures are treated as ranges from named surveys, never as promises. Where sources disagree, the book shows both and tells you which one to confirm.

03Editions

Edition and correction policy

Editions are numbered by year and release, so 2026.2 is the second release of 2026. A new edition follows any published change to an exam version, weighting, fee structure or core rule.

Errors are corrected in the next release and listed in the update register. If you find something that no longer matches the issuing body's own page, the official page wins, and we want to hear about it.

04Independence

Independence and paid links

CredenTrek is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any certification or testing body. No body has reviewed or approved the books.

This site links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Paid links are labelled where they appear. They never change what a book says about any credential or study resource.
