What is the CredenTrek series?
CredenTrek is a series of ten independent roadmap books for accredited credentials, written by Mustafa K. Al-Dori. Each book maps the whole exam and every decision around it, and every changeable fact is checked against the body that issues the credential and dated.
Who the series is for
The series is for people who are about to spend money and months on a credential and want the decisions around the exam made on evidence: IT support staff and graduates, career changers, project managers, finance and business staff who work with cloud teams, and anyone preparing for an English test or the CFA Program. It assumes nothing beyond a willingness to read the official documents it points you to.
It is not a question dump and not a full course. It does not teach every topic in depth. It shows you the whole exam on one map, then helps with the parts people get wrong: fit, version, eligibility, real study hours, booking, cost, official contact and what to do with a pass.

How every book is built
All ten books follow one structure with six stages: Understand, Decide, Prepare, Book and Sit, Leverage, and Sustain and Grow. That means a reader who has used one book can open another and know where the exam map, the study plan, the budget and the renewal rules are. The method page shows the chapters and templates.
Every fact that can change, such as a fee, a rule or an exam weight, is checked against the issuing body’s own documents and carries an edition number and a verification date. The editorial standards say what happens when sources disagree. The update register lists what has changed and what is about to.
Where to start
- New to IT and aiming for a support job: start with CompTIA A+, then choose Security+ or CCNA.
- Already working with AWS or Azure: start with AWS Cloud Practitioner or AZ-900, whichever your employer runs.
- Leading projects: start with PMP. Planning for investment work: CFA Program.
- Choosing an English test: read TOEFL or IELTS? first, then IELTS or TOEFL iBT.
The full reading order by goal, with the reason for each step, is on its own page. Every book also begins with a short decision test, so you can find out before paying whether it is the right book now.
How this site earns money
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon are paid links, marked as such and tagged sponsored, and they may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Only books that are on sale have a purchase link; the others say “coming soon”.
No book is sponsored by a certification body, and none of them endorses this series. The guides give the same advice whether or not a book is on sale, including the advice to use free official material first. About the author explains more.
